Cameron Goodhead, a graduate student researcher just about to start his PhD at the University of Durham, came out to Tuanan to celebrate Christmas with us. Cam is currently wrapping up a project using drones to study the nests of orangutans. He was kind enough to take some drone footage of Eva and I climbing a Palaquium leiocarpum tree to collect fruit samples and practice some branch-walking techniques. I'm posting them here (full length and unedited, sorry) so you can all get a sense of what the site is like and what my fieldwork entails!
